Double “E” Alpacas is located in South Eastern Saskatchewan at Broadview, Saskatchewan, Canada. We are just 7 mile south on grid road 605 and 1 mile east of Broadview and only 1 hour from the Canadian - United States border. Double "E" Alpacas is home to one of Saskatchewan’s largest herds of double registered alpacas. The farm is situated between the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley and the Moose Mountain Provincial Park. Edwin and Elaine have been involved in the Agriculture industry since 1976 raising cattle and grain in partnership with Edwin’s two brothers for over 30 years. Edwin also worked in the Credit Union system at various locations in Saskatchewan while Elaine has recently retired from her teaching career.

In 1997 we purchased three bred females with no facilities to
house them.“If we build it, they will come” was the slogan that we kept focusing on during that first busy year. As the facilities neared completion the 3 original females, now with cria at side, “came home” to Double “E” Alpacas. Today over 30 alpacas roam the paddocks at the farm as well as two cats and two dogs. Minnie, a Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dog provides comfort and security as she keeps coyotes and stray dogs out of the yard but is very friendly with people.

We are committed to the alpaca industry as Elaine is past secretary of the Manitoba Alpaca Club and Edwin is past treasurer of the Saskatchewan Alpaca Breeders Network and past President of Alpaca Canada. We were involved in the planning and organization of the Agripaca show at the Canadian Western Agribition in Regina, SK. and the Royal Manitoba Alpaca Show in Brandon, MB. We are members of Alpaca Canada, Saskatchewan Alpaca Breeders Network (SABN), Manitoba Alpaca Club (MAC), ARI, CLAA and AOBA.

Edwin and Elaine are truly grateful for the many friends we have met in this new and exciting industry and look forward to meeting many more in the years to come.

Visitors are welcome at Double “E” Alpacas where there is always room at the table and a comfortable bed in the guestroom.
