Awards.jpg (47328 bytes) We are committed to a breeding program that is striving to reproduce alpacas with correct conformation and fine, crimpy, lustrous, dense fleece. Top quality Peruvian, Bolivian and Chilean studs are used to accomplish these goals and objectives. Our efforts have been rewarded on numerous occasions. We are very proud of all of our alpacas. Here is a sample of how our program is working for us.

DEA Genayo

DEA Genayo

Genayo won Reserve Champion male at the Royal Manitoba Alpaca Show in April 2003 and again in 2004. He won first in his class at the CNASF in Red Deer, Second at Agripaca 2003 in Lloydminster, and 3rd at the Alpaca Odyssey in Edmonton, AB in 2004. Genayo's fiber stats in 2004, at 2 years of age are AFD 21.52, SD 4.33, CV 20.1, comfort factor = 97.0%, Curve = 54.6 deg/mm.
At the 2006 Canadian National Alpaca Futurity Genayo won the honor of Supreme Champion Sire when an offspring of his, DEA Cajun Queen won Supreme Champion Alpaca. Genayo's 2005 female offspring have all been sold and the 2006 offspring are looking good.

DEA Cajun Queen

DEA Cajun Queen was born to be a champion, being the offspring of DEA Karaminga and DEA Genayo, both champions in previous years. At the Keystone Alpaca Classic held in Brandon, MB in April 2006, Cajun won Reserve Champion White Female Alpaca. At the Canadian National Alpaca Futurity held in Red Deer, AB in April 2006, Cajun won Supreme Champion Alpaca, the first time such an honor has been won by a female alpaca.

Congratulations to Barb and Daniel Eslake, Rainbow Forest Acres, on the purchase of DEA Cajun Queen.
